1. Our Commitment
HJ Storage Limited is dedicated to treating all individuals with respect, dignity, and independence. We are committed to preventing and removing barriers to accessibility for customers, tenants, and visitors with disabilities, in compliance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA) and the Ontario Human Rights Code.
2. Physical Facility Accessibility
Our facility at 5584 Ramsey Road is intentionally designed with ground-level accessibility:
Every storage unit and outdoor parking bay is located at grade level with zero steps, stairs, or freight elevator hurdles.
Extra-wide driving lanes accommodate wheelchair-accessible vans, side-ramp deployment, and passenger loading directly at the unit door.
Roll-up doors are balanced and counter-sprung. Staff are available during office hours to assist with opening, closing, or latching if needed.
Designated accessible parking spaces are positioned directly in front of the main customer service office.
3. Assistive Devices & Service Animals
Persons with disabilities are welcome to use their personal assistive devices (mobility scooters, wheelchairs, walkers) anywhere on facility grounds and inside the office. Certified guide dogs and service animals are permitted in all areas open to the public.
4. Accessible Digital Communication
We strive to adhere to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards on hjstorage.com, including semantic HTML structure, high-contrast typography, keyboard navigability, and clear form labels.
Rental agreements, invoices, and move-in instructions can be provided in alternative formats (large print, electronic PDF, or telephone explanation) upon request.
